Jack-o-lantern castle glows one last time in Griswold

When his father, Edgar Fontaine, died in June, Dean Fontaine promised to organize one final ‘jack-o-lantern castle’ as a tribute to his father, but a disappointing pumpkin harvest almost forced him to cancel. Longtime neighbor Charlotte Geer organized a carving party, and through donations and Fontaine’s meager harvest they managed to come up with enough jack-o-lanterns. The display is free and open to the public at 70 Norman Rd. in Griswold through Halloween.
