back at work after a holiday vacation, and my first story was right out the back door. As part of a redesign of a plaza in downtown New London, a historic schoolhouse was being moved across the street. Since it was so close to home, I was able to lug out just about every piece of equipment in my kit. I set up a D2Hs on an interval timer to get time lapse footage, and shot two brief interviews and plenty of b-roll. I had also adapted a map by one of our graphic designers for inclusion in the video.
Vodpod videos no longer available.Oh yeah, our early-shift photographer was tied up with a fire-murder-attempted suicide, so I would be responsible for the stills on this assignment, too. Usually that means frame grabs, but we wanted something immediately for the Web, so I slung another D2Hs with a 17-35 over my shoulder and shot stills alternately with the video.
