“Apparently writing this blog has turned me into an advice columnist. My friend Raj emailed me to say that his family was getting a dog. A doodle, actually. Now he already knows my distaste for designer dogs, so I won’t call him out publicly. But I will mention his family’s choice here and let you form your own opinion.

His question had nothing to do with the breed of dog. He was interested in advice on crate training. I’m sure there are professional trainers out there who would serve him better, but my advice comes with a significantly lower price tag.”
