Choir helps composer’s music live on

John Metz has had a long career as a musician and teacher, but it was not until retirement that he started actually composing music. His first-ever long choral work, called Anthony’s Cosmic Adventures, will be performed by the Lyme-Old Lyme High School choir under the direction of Kristine Pekar. This summer, Metz was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and is working to ensure that his musical legacy will live on.
