Connecticut High School Basketball State Championships

Eight state championships were held right in our backyard last weekend at Mohegan Sun Arena. Instead of only covering our local teams, we covered all six Saturday games.  The result was a 21-hour day on Saturday, (and into early Sunday) but most of the games had their share of excitement. Old Lyme won a slow, defensive game. All four boys games were good ones, with Cromwell, Sacred Heart, Bulkeley, and Windsor taking home titles. The best game of the weekend was the Girls ‘M’ final, in which Bacon came back to win with 5 seconds left.
