As a photographer, hunting for weather art was often a big pain. It was great when there was a big storm, but often it seemed like weather was a fallback for when you have nothing else, like small talk in a boring conversation.
On Tuesday night, I was leaving the around midnight, just as freezing rain was coating everything with ice. I spent the next hour driving slowly home shooting nightscapes and capturing the sound of the rain falling on the pavement and my windshield. I got up early the next morning and finished up with some natural sound of storm clean up, even as more freezing rain was falling.
